Aveo (pronounced "a-VAY-o") have been making powerful music since 2000. Their first record, 2001's bridge to the northern lights, was produced by Phil Ek (of Built to Spill and Modest Mouse fame). It captivated fans immediately, and propelled the band to become one of the hottest acts in town. Barsuk is pleased to present the follow-up CD, battery (also produced by Phil Ek), an elegant blend of hope and devastation, a lush terrain of unconventional chord structures, stylish vocal melodies, and chiming guitars.
Long out of the spotlight, Aveo is being featured on KEXP today with their song the idiot on the bike. Go check out the KEXP Song of the Day podcast, and see why we love Aveo so much. |
