Polk is the second release to come from Portland, Oregon based Tracker. Open warehouse, noir-esque, and ambient, polk combines desolate song and instrumental expanse with warm, full studio recordings. The project of recording-man John Askew, polk pulls more from his song writer suitcase; offering close-up recording snapshots that are patient, arid, and epic wanderings for the super-8 movie. Found on the same roadway as Camper Van Beethoven, Sparklehorse and Califone, polk is delivered in mighty, drill-proof digipak.
