Maps & Atlases return with first album in six years

Chicago's Maps & Atlases are set to return in 2018, announcing their new album , out June 1. The record, their first since 2012's , finds frontman Dave Davison reckoning with the loss of his father and the emotional distances between light and dark.

Dave Davison of Maps & Atlases On Tour with Anthony Green

Dave Davison of Maps & Atlases is pleased to announce dates opening for Anthony Green of Circa Survive. Davison will be main support for the majority of Anthony Green's Young Legs tour, playing songs from the Maps & Atlases catalog, his solo project Cast Spells, and new unreleased music.

Davison joined the tour in Denver, CO, coming off of Maps & Atlases' performance this past weekend in Seattle, WA at the Barsuk Records 15th anniversary celebration, where he and the band appeared on one of the celebration's five great shows, alongside Menomena and Phantogram on a bill that also featured rostermates Say Hi, Cymbals Eat Guitars, and Yellow Ostrich. 15 Nov 2013

Maps & Atlases frontman tames his mane in new video

In anticipation of their upcoming date at Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, Maps & Atlases is releasing the video for Old Ash off their latest album . Directed by drummer Christopher Hainey and shot through a two-way mirror, the video features guitarist/vocalist Dave Davison shaving his beard — legendary with fans — for the first time in four years.
