Following the release of their third album, Beta Love, Ra Ra Riot has just wrapped up their US headline tour and SXSW before playing a string of dates with The Shins, plus a slew of summer festivals and solo shows. The band is also releasing Binary Mind as a special Record Store Day 10-inch vinyl EP, limited to 1000 copies. Binary Mind contains the title track and the unreleased song All I Fear, plus three demo versions of songs from the Beta Love sessions, and will be available in record stores across the US on April 20th (Record Store Day). ·read less·

The new Ra Ra Riot video for the song Dance With Me (from their recently released album, Beta Love) premiered today on mtvU. The clip was directed by Christopher Mills, who says "the video is about a lost and forgotten evening that could have been Ra Ra Riot's weird dream," while mtvU notes "you get to expand your senses and follow the band on a ghoulish, tripped out jog through a post-apocalyptic landscape in visuals that end up being strangely effective counterpoints to the head bobbing dance song." The Huffington Post is premiering RAC's remix of the title track from Ra Ra Riot's new album Beta Love, out now. André Allen Anjos of RAC, "does what we never thought possible: made Ra Ra Riot's title song even more danceable," says The Huffington Post. The Onion A/V Club is premiering the video for the title track off Ra Ra Riot's new album Beta Love, out now on Barsuk. The video was directed and edited by David Dean Burkhart, a Ra Ra Riot fan who sent it to them after assembling it from found footage. The band immediately loved it and became even more enamored of it once they learned about its source, the local TV show "Dance Party" which aired in the '80s on the low-wattage UHF station KOFY in San Francisco. The band is currently touring in Asia and will kick off west coast leg of their tour in Vancouver on February 7.

Last week, the band premiered two new tracks from their forthcoming album, debuting Dance with Me at Stereogum and Is It Too Much at NPR Music's "All Songs Considered". The band also announced an additional date prior to their sold out Webster Hall show on January 25. They will now play a release date show at Music Hall of Williamsburg which will be live-streamed in full HD via The Bowery Presents Live YouTube page starting at 10pm. Today, Stereogum premiered Dance with Me from Ra Ra Riot's third album Beta Love, set for release January 22. The album marks the band's first outing as a four piece with members Wes Miles on vocals, Milo Bonacci on guitar, Mathieu Santos on bass and Rebecca Zeller on violin forming the core of the group. Beta Love's songs are informed by the works of cyperpunk novelist William Gibson and futurist Ray Kurzweil's musings on the technological singularity and transhumanism.
