Ra Ra Riot share Jim Eno Session via Spotify . . .·17 Jun 2016·

Today Ra Ra Riot are happy to share a Jim Eno Spotify session. The band visited Eno's Public Hi-Fi Studio when they were in Austin, TX this past March and recorded their current single "Water" as well as "Absolutely" and "Foreign Lovers." Spotify notes, "The session was a flurry of keys, harmonies and strings. We might have even given 'Water' a pretty major facelift courtesy of a Moog synth." You can listen to the Jim Eno Spotify Session here.

Ra Ra Riot are playing select festivals this summer including a stop at Outside Lands in San Francisco before hitting the road with Young The Giant on their upcoming Fall tour. The two bands kick off the dates September 6 at Cleveland's House Of Blues and conclude with a two night stand on October 27 at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver. Along the way, the tour hits New York City for a show at Radio City Music Hall on September 17 and Los Angeles' Greek Theater on October 21.

The band shared the song — which Stereogum labeled "ebullient" and Consequence of Sound called "a synth pop whirlwind of a new single" on January 1 via a "New Year's Resolutions" playlist on Spotify. Ra Ra Riot are encouraging their fans to create their own New Year's playlist on Spotify with hashtag #YearOfAbsolutely. In turn the band will incorporate tracks from those playlists onto their own.

Ra Ra Riot reveals video for "Water" . . .·11 Dec 2015·

Ra Ra Riot is excited to reveal the video for "Water," from the recently announced forthcoming album, Need Your Light out February 19, 2016. "Water" premiered last month to rave reviews. The single was quickly picked up by many press outlets including NME, which named it one of its Best New Tracks. Vampire Weekend's Rostam conceived of the video and co-directed it with Josh Goleman (Alabama Shakes, Skrillex, Gary Clark Jr).

"It was shot anamorphic in one day in Joshua Tree and L.A.," says lead-singer Wes Miles. "The concept came from Rostam, co-writer and producer of the song. We actually started talking about this video as we were still imagining and writing the story in the song. The concept of a weary hitchhiker coming out of the desert toward Los Angeles informed the final lyrics, so it really feels like an extension of the song."

The video, which premiered on Ra Ra Riot's Tumblr via VEVO, can be watched here.
