this busy monster was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. Our lineup currently includes three members: Christopher Possanza is the singer, songwriter, and guitar player; Josh Rosenfeld is the bass player and occasional singer; Barrett Wilke is the drummer and also occasional singer. The four chapters listed below give a more detailed version of our history, complete with images of past flyers and posters.

Recent news can be found here.

Chapter One

With the release of our tape dark hands in April 1993, we officially became a band. We played a lot of the smaller clubs in Seattle, and tried to figure out how to be a live band. This is where it all began.

Chapter Three

This was an eventful time for this busy monster. We went on a Northwest mini-tour with a couple of great bands (Built to Spill and the Purdins), and got a chance to broadcast live from KCMU's Live Room.

Chapter Two

Things started picking up for us in 1994. We recorded two 7" singles, one of them with some famous friends in a famous studio, and began playing better clubs.

Chapter Four

More good shows, including an opening spot with one of our favorite bands: Throwing Muses. We also spent a lot of time in the studio, first recording a demo tape (dubbed skips), then our debut album like icicles.
